Okay, yes I am a newblie all over again. Kinda like deja vu but not really. Anyway, I can't tell you how many times I've tried atkins over again to no avail. I can tell you why I succeeded the first time and I can tell you why I've failed all the other times but this time I'm determined to succeed. My question is to all the people re-trying adkins .... How many pounds have you lost on the induction your 2nd, 3rd or 4th time around? I know it shouldn't matter if I'v not lost weight. I know it's the inches that matter but I would like to know other people experience on the diet.
I have some issues that may hinder my loss ie, peri menopause and low blood sugar but I'm certain that once my hormones are under control, my low blood sugar should stabllize and the weight should come off with low carb. Am I on the right track? I need some re-assurance. Thanks!

Yes, you are on the right track. Don't be afraid of healthy fats especially saturated fats... Also, review your vitamin D levels. Vitmamin D is actually a hormone and it is very significant factor in metabolism.

My doctor said to get a minimum of 15 minutes of sun a day and to take a vitamin that has vitamin D in it. I have been doing that and I feel so much better! This is my 3rd time around with Atkins and for some reason I seem to be losing quite fast this time. 19.5 pounds since the 18th but then I have been really sweating with this heat! I have not done any exercises yet-well did mow part of the yard uphill this evening with my push mower. I know that you will do good, just drink lots of water and eat fat, fat, fat. Cream cheese is my favorite! I mix it with a little cocoa powder and a little splenda, nuke for about 15 seconds, mix and yum!

Thanks for the support and recipe tip. That sounds wonderful! Today is day 6. So far no move on the scale but that's okay. I've been in deep ketosis for all these days. I was able to get in the first evening. I must be loosing inches though. I haven't started exerciseing but maybe today. I'll get some vit D today too. Thanks again!

There is 600 Units of D in my multi. Is that enough?
