Hello,

Tomorrow is my 1 month anniversary of LC eating. I'm at 8 pounds down, which isn't as much as I'd like, but of course, I'm happy for the loss. I mean, when you think of how heavy a 5 pound bag of sugar is, I'm glad to have the 8 off my bod! And it's a good start. PLUS - my jeans are getting roomier. Always a good thing, huh?

So, I'm still kind of new to this, but I don't really know where I should be posting my posts. Am I still a newbie? I'm doing Atkins, but it seems that many of the people who are posting on the Atkins portion of this forum have larger losses, and have been at this longer.

Would anyone like to suggest where I should post? Sorry this sounds silly, but I haven't engaged as much as I would like, and I want to be sure I'm in the correct "neighborhood."

Thanks in advance! Luna

Congratulations on your loss thus far--that's great!

Now go post in the Atkins forum! :)

Congratulations, that's doing well for your first month. Think of how much mass 8 pounds of butter is. Human fat is about the same density as butter so that's how much mass you've lost.

I post wherever it interests me. We are all brothers and sisters in the good fight! :)

No place on this site is out-of-bounds for anyone except that newbies must have a minimum number of posts before they're allowed to send or receive private messages (I think it's 25 IIRC). However, one little piece of advice - if you venture into the "war zone", be sure to wear your thickest skin! Things can sometimes get pretty heated in there and insults have been known to fly.

The mine-laden "war zone" doesn't seem like my bag, baby...
Me thinks I'm still a noob and have to steer clear... But thanks for the warning. Very nice of you.

Also, thanks to everyone who shared their POV. I'll have to survey the land and see what's out here and connect with those with like minds and goals.
