I don't have exact measurements, i just cook by eyeing and smelling the dish.. sorry.

500 grams beef mince
1/4 cup oil (olive)
1 1/2 Tb garlic paste ( i make my own as the store bought ones have so many things added to it )
1 Tb ginger paste
1 Green chilie
1 handful of fresh corriander
1 long green onion (can use both green and white part)
1 large egg
salt to taste
squeeze of lemon juice
1 ts paprika
1 ts garam masala
2Tb Shaan sheekh kebab spice - I KNOW NOT EVERYONE HAS THIS IN THEIR CUPBOARDS -IF YOU DON'T YOU CAN JUST LEAVE IT OUT AND PERHAPS USE SOME CUMIN AND CORRIANDER POWDER INSTEAD ) IF YOU WANT TO BUY IT THEY ARE AVAILABLE FROM INDIAN SHOPS

Mix everything together and allow to marinate for 30 mins or 1 hr or 5 hrs in the fridge ....or even overnight...(i've not marinated it before and still tastes great )

heat a griddle pan or any normal frying pan, add oil, allow to heat and take the mixture into your hand and form patties (anysize you like) and put into pan and cook till really nice and brown on first side) turn over and cook other side. As a guide it takes about 3 mins on each side...

serve as a bunless burger or with a salad...

these sound delicious! I bet they would be great with yogurt.

I have modified a similar recipe for greek meatballs. They have ground lamb and beef, sauteed onion (important step to saute before adding to meat)egg to bind, flax bread crumbs, spices such as coriander, cumin, nutmeg, cinnamon, plus lemon zest. They are fragrent and tasty. Outrageous with low carb tomato sauce spiced with cinnamin and oregano and or greek yogurt and feta.

Inspired by this recipe (minus the bread and flour of course):

Yum cleveland they sound excellent ! I'll be making those after my induction. I love greek food. I too normally put the cooked onion in it but sub for spring onion cause of induction. These kebabs go great with yoghurt, raita, tzaziki, tom sauce.....in a "burger" with salad... endless ways.
