Hello Everyone,
I have been on Luvox for about 3 years now after being diagnosed with OCD. Are any of you on this? The generic is called Fluvoxomine.....

I was curious, do you have to have a blood test to use Luvox?

Hi Lessara,
No, I didn't have to have a blood test. My Psychiatrist just prescribed it.

My daughter is OCD and the last medicine she was on she had to take a blood test so she went off of it. I'm looking for other options. My daughter is going to be 15 in Sept. :)

Sorry to hear about your daughters OCD. Unfortunatley it's a horrible thing to have and the ways it can affect your life. I think the only time I had a blood test was every once in a while they like to test your levels to see what level the medicine is out but since I have been on Luvox I haven't had any blood tests.
I am on 100mg of luvox and I'm doing great, I have no symptoms and no side effects. Try suggesting it to your daughters Dr. There is another good drug called Anafranil, that started to no work anymore on me but that is another good one.
Tell your daughter to keep her chin up and the worse thing she could do is give in to the symptoms, if she has any repetitive behavior tell her not to give in to the urge it will only make the symtoms worse.
