Hay everyone comming back to Sb tired of floating around and plan o tired of being tired. So heres the question. I make a pot of chili for super which has beans lean ground beef (cooked and rinsed in hot water pryer to adding) stewed tomatoes and seasoning. Is it safe to say since beans are a proten that I could eat this until full maybe a 1 1/2 cups worth and would count it toward proten, beans and veg? kinda like an all in one meal

Have you thought about adding more veggies to your chili? I do it all the time with zucchini and mushrooms, lots of celery, peppers. canned tomatoes, and onion too. When I add the veggies, then I can eat up to 2 cups of chili.

1 serving of beans is 1/3-1/2 cup....2 times a day. If you are using more beans than protein in your chili, you may want/need to watch your portions.

I use 2 lbs of a lean protein and 1 x14 oz can of beans and loads of veggies. So my ratio of meat to beans is about 2:1.....3:1 with the veggies.
