Last Saturday I fell on my neck. Last week I was nauseous, irritable and tired for about a week. I started having some heart racing, too. My theories are that I injured my thyroid in the fall (fell on a metal bed right on my thyroid with full weight), that my hormones are acting up, or that one of my supplements is no longer appropriate (Bcomplex, multi VitaminA/D, St. John's Wort, potassium).
Any insight? I did a bit of research and I feel like injury is a very remote possibility. Has anyone ever heard of this type of thyroid injury?

That is horrible. It sounds plausible you injured your thyroid. But, it seems more likely to me the injury to your neck happened near the time your thyroid might actually be functioning better. A racing heart sounds like it's being over medicated. I wouldn't quit the suppliments though if this goes away within a day. I hope you are better soon. Did you talk to your doc? Grrrrrrrrrr docs.

I don't take thyroid medicine and my thyroid levels have always been optimal. I had it checked out and the nausea and racing heart have gone away, so I'm not worried anymore. Thanks!
