I love the French Vanilla Coffee at 7-11.

All I have to add to it is half n half and sweet and low.

how many carbs are IN the coffee PRIOR to the adding of that stuff?

I looked online but cannot find the answer.

What do you think they do to the beans to get them sweet?

Hey. That's a good question wish I had an answer for you as I have no idea how they do it.

However, I can tell you from my experiences, I drink gourmet coffee by Gevalia all the time. Flavors like blueberry cream, cream brulee, french vanilla, pumpkin spice, winter spice...etc.

My point being that none of them have affected me nor my blood sugar negatively and I usually have two to three large cups per day.

I'd be more concerned with the cream/sugar combo you're using. I would suggest replacing the half and half with heavy whipping cream and the sweet and low with splenda because that's where a lot of your carbs are coming from.

Hope that helps you out.

you have such wonderful success I don't blame you for not trying them.

I have seen on the Dunkin Website that flavored coffee has about 2 to 3 Carbs per serving and I drink WAY more than the serving.

I had last summer drank Starbucks with Sugar Free Syrup but 1) it was too expensive and 2) sometimes I really had to watch to make sure they really gave me sugar free. - and those syrups I think had carbs too.

here is an idea I am toying with: Sugar Free Flavored Soy Milk is ONLY 1 net carb per serving. I could take Vanilla or chocolate flavored Soy Splenda and add some instant coffee or coccoa powder to it?

or just get that internationl delight sugar free french vanilla I see in the supermarket. Only 2 net carbs per serving.

I agree with you but just so you know, Kisal answered me in my journal and said that they use essential oils to flavor brewed coffee so as long as coffee is brewed it is zero carbs.

That being said, I desperately want to get pregnant and will be giving up coffee when I think I am.

Of course then (upon finding out I am pregnant) I will have to do Atkins Lifetime Maintanence (over 30 carbs) instead of Ultra Low Carb but that is fine, I bet I would STILL lose weight doing a Modified Low carb diet than eating mainstream food.
