I'm getting married in less than 3 weeks. My last fiance cancelled our wedding right before we sent out the invites but after I paid for everything else.

This time around, because of my anxiety over that happening again, we decided on a small ceremony in Feb presided over by the Mayor and a bigger party after we move in the summer.

I am only in my first week of induction, and am losing nicely but having to take Xanax...something I never had to do while low carbing (when my blood sugar is stable, so is my mental health)

I know this man is good for me and treats me so well...he's my best friend. He agreed to this little thing for my well being.

But now, I woke up with a panic attack this morning and it's bagel day today at work and I've had my protein powder already and I'm going to eat a hard boiled egg.

In my bad state, I am craving comfort foods. I know this is normal, but I'm not eating to lose really...I'm eating for health and sanity.

I guess this is just the rant/vent of a very emotional person. Sorry so long.

They are not comfort foods, they Sabotage Foods. Your comfort foods are fat or protein based. Pig out on them if you must.

I was not in my right mind the first week of induction either. Hang in there and you will soon feel much better.

Sweetie, honestly, how much do you really think you're going to lose in the 3 weeks before your wedding? 5 pounds max? Is that going to make a HUGE difference in your big day to be 5 pounds lighter? This is such a stressful time in your life, not to mention the added pressure of what you went through in the past. I'm not saying go off low carb, but don't beat yourself up if you cheat in a moment of extreme stress.
Does your dress fit? Do you feel good? Then what is that 5 pounds going to really matter in the long run?

^^^Oh, I should have mentioned that I don't low carb for weight; it's just a nice benefit.

I have bad blood sugar problems and those "comfort" foods, send my body into turmoil and actually contribute to anxiety.

I couldn't care less about my weight that day; especially at my weight! That would be Bridezilla, lol!

Hey dylanangel, I got married back in april and it turned out to be a huge wedding! I completely understand the stress u are under, its been eight months since mine and im still exhausted. I would totally understand why u would need some xanax right now. try to do something by yourself or with one of your best girlfriends like get a pedicure or get a massage. that helped me a lot with the stress. Sometimes we get so worked up over everthing that is going on with the wedding, we forget to slow down and enjoy the fact that YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED. Its an exciting time, so slow down and enjoy it. It will go by so fast anyway. Good Luck!

Thank you so much Kass! I actually managed to stay away from foods that send my blood sugar and therefore my moods into a high/low situation.

We wound up spending the whole weekend together, ignoring everyone, running errands and spending a lot of time just watching TV in bed.

I got my nails done yesterday and that felt good too. And I bought myself another book that'll keep me interested (I'm obsessed with old time royals) so when I feel stressed, I'll just curl up with that.
