I waited to weigh myself this week until the end (this is the end of week 2). I lost 2 pounds, and in total 1.25 inches off my waist, .75 inch off my hips and 1 inch off my right thigh. I am sure everything else will follow! I expect that the loss will speed up now, because my body is in gear?

Congrats on the weight loss, Lizzie! Don't set your expectations too high. Everyone looses at different rates. Some people loose very quickly, some only a pound or two every couple of weeks. And a general rule is that the less you have to loose, the slower the weight will come off. Patience is definitely a virtue with this WOL. I hope that you get to your goal quickly, but even if you don't try to keep in mind how much better you feel eating this way and how much better it is for your body.

Congratulations!
Two pounds at the end of Induction for someone that has to lose a total of 20 pounds is just about the norm - 10%.
As Lisa said, don't get your hopes up too high. Most people's loss slows significantly after Induction - but for people that only have a little bit to lose (relatively speaking, of course) the slowdown doesn't seem to be as bad.
Don't be surprised, though, if you average a bit under a pound a week. That will actually be very good in the long run because it will allow your body to adjust gradually and to really firmly fix that new, lower weight as the weight your body will want to maintain.
Good luck and Keep the Faith!

Good for you. Just like the others said don't get your hopes up too high and expect to lose 2 pounds a week b/c it may or may not happen. Our bodies have a mind of their own. You need to stay positive and take it in stride. All the best....happy weight loss
