Does anyone get dizzy? This just started to happen after my monthly bill.
I am taking my vitamins and lots of water (3l/day).
I am going to see a doctor, but was wondering if any of you had that experience.
Thanks.

Hi,
I too, am experiancing dizziness. I was so glad to see your post. Has yours gone away since you posted, or have you figured it out?
I was previously on a diet where I was consuming banana daily, as my fruit choice. I was wondering if my not eating them and getting dizzy has anything to do with the dizziness.
Mine happens when just getting out of bed in am upon standing. It also happens when I bend over and get back up, does not matter if it's getting up slowly or quickly. Also, it does not happen each time.
I also notice it happening when I roll over in bed.
This started about day three of diet. I'm on Atkins. My blood pressure is normal. I am consuming a lot of cheese and had not in the past. I take very good suppliments but now wondering if this is potassium related.
I have only had this type of dizzines one other time in my life and it was directly after getting my third hep b shot. hmmmmm
Any suggestions anyone?? :q:

I am just getting over being dizzy for about 2.5 weeks. It started right after my TOM. After SEVERAL Drs who didn't know what they were talking about I called an ENT specialist in my hometown and he prescribed steroids and diuretics. He said it was a viral infection in my inner ear and I would need the steroids to get the swelling out and the diuretics to get the fluid out of my ear. It seemed to be the only thing that helped. He also said I should take the diuretics right before TOM for the next few months to prevent recurrence since it may take a while for all the swelling to go away.

I get a bit dizzy these last few days but making sure I have enough potassium and enough calories really seems to make the difference.

If you need more potassium in your diet, forget the bananas; have some SPINACH!

I think animaldoc is right on the money for April's problem. Middle ear inflammation will cause the symptoms described, especially changing positions, including rolling over in bed. If the inflammation is severe enough, it will cause vertigo, nausea and vomiting with the slightest movement. Antihistamines and anti-inflammatories will also help, but you need to be seen by a doctor first. If there's an infection causing the inflammation, you'll likely have antibiotics ordered as well. If left untreated, the pressure in the inner ear can build and permanently damage your hearing.
On the subject of potassium and dizziness, I posted this earlier today to another member:As a source of potassiium, bananas aren't that great, especially considering the high carb content ... 24g digestible carbs for a small one, and approx. 350mg potassium. On the other hand, 2 cups of broccoli has only 5g digestible carbs, and 572mg potassium.
1 cup of cooked spinach has 2.5g net carbs, and 839mg potassium
1 medium California avocado has 3.5 net carbs, and 1,097mg potassium
4 oz beef sirloin has 0 carbs and 409mg potassium
4 oz sliced mushrooms has 3g digestible carbs and 397g potassium
etc, etc ;)A spinach or mushroom omelet for breakfast might be a better bargain for carbs and potassium, and less likely to cause blood sugar and insulin surges and dips ... which are also known to cause dizziness and palpitations.Keep us posted how you're doing. :)

Hi everybody!
As I wrote in another post, de- hydration was the number one source of my dizziness and heart palps.
But I also have another thing to contend with that causes dizziness for me.
I fell off the back of baseball bleachers when I was a teenager, and suffered whiplash, my docter sent me to a physical therapist.
Never having experience with these people or with the work a Chiropractor does.....he did an adjustment on my neck and then asked me if I could feel or move my toes!!!!!
This physical therapist caused irreversable damage to the 1st vertabrae in my neck. So now, when I pull a neck muscle or tighten up with stress.....or am overtired, I feel dizziness because the muscles tighten up and squeeze off circulation . So I deal with figuring out what is causing the dizziness on a regular basis.
I have had exrays,cat-scans, massage therapy, supplements, ENT specialists look at my ears,,,,every thing!!
But at least, I now know how to control the diet onset dizziness, more fluids and less naturally diuretic fluids like coffee, tea, pop.
Have a great day everyone!

I am not a doctor, but my opinion is that if you are getting leg cramos, you might want to look at all your electrolytes and also your Calcium levels...
What vitamins do you take?
