Just received this newsletter on diabetes in control.
A particular article or two of interest.

The first is indicating an A1C of less than 6% wow! Do read on.
The second is now ADA favors low carb eating plans.
Perhaps they are learning.

Astounding, I had just checked them yesterday and did not see these two items. We can nit pick regarding the saturated fat, and implied cholesterol goals, but this is really good news.
And particularly I like the whole attitude of letting the patient have a lot of input into goals and medications. I think I will withdraw my major league criticism of the ADA. Now I can merely disagree on a few things.

What you get in the newsletter must be what appears on the web site the next week (?).

Ralph,
I'm confused. The ADA website for these articles states (I'm copying and pasting here): This article originally posted January 1, 2008 and appeared in Issue 397 (http://www.diabetesincontrol.com/issues/results.php?recordID=324)
Doesn't that make this info a year old?

Whether this news is new or old, it's still old news to us. What we need is a group of famous people in the media to take the lead, to try the diet and reep its benefits, then announce it to the world. We need politicians, news media, stars. It's sad, but that is what would make a difference I bet. There has to be people out there who already have a butt load of money, and don't have to worry about the food industry, to spread the word. Where are you?
