I'm trying to cut back on carbs to address the final systemic yeast - but it's messing up my gut. So I'm experimenting.
I decided to have a little mayonnaise so I can add taste to things given that I've temporarily given up red meat - my gut being more important that hte last of the yeast.

Then I stumbled on a new taste treat:
plain yogurt with English Toffee Stevia (several drops I think, I just eyeballed it in the tube.

Previous created taste treat:
cream w/ water & stevia to sweeten. It's sort of like drinking ice cream. Very satisfying.

What things have you dreamed up?

That sounds delicious Lajet!

It seems I can't do yogurt right now. I love the full-fat plain yogurt sold in glass jars (can't think of the brand right now) but the last time I ate it, it so irritated my intestines that I bled!!! YIKES! Maybe dairy doesn't agree with me???

Just a couple of responses:
The concoction I made up is plain yogurt - so a lot fewer carbs - although still more than I expected. I have about 1/2 container eachtime so it's only 4 calories. The stevia has no carbs.

I thought yogurt was okay even for people dairy-free. Actually thought it was good for fighting yeast, while most dairy was bad for fighting yeast. <sigh>sometimes I get so confused about what the rules are.

The rules are determined by your stomach, unfortunately! No one in my house can eat yogurt or cheese. I hope you feel better!

Yes, the rules are according to what you are able to tolerate. If you make your own yogurt that is fermented the full 24 hours producing many more billions of beneficial bacteria than the stuff you buy in the stores then I say give it a try. It is cheaper than buying probiotics too, and much more rewarding when consuming! Everyone is different and the way yogurt is made is a big factor in whether or not you should consume it.

<sigh> I wish it were simpler. But thanks for your responses.
