Well, an episode at least.
Food Network, Cooking Live, with Sara Moulton [executive chef, Gourmet magazine] scheduled to do a show:
" Get Healthy: LowCarb Meals In Minutes "
They're doing a Health/Diet series, I think; just had Dining With The Dutchess yesterday(?) according to the schedule.
Thus far the scheduling is Jan 11th TODAY at 7pm Eastern, and Jan 12th at 2pm Eastern. No other replays that I know of yet.
Recipes not yet posted on the website (normal for new shows).
PS: Anybody actually watch "Made In Canada" on CBC on Monday last? I taped it but haven't seen it yet.

Intersting that Sara sometimes trashes low-carb and calls them unhealthy and high-fat (as opposed to normal!).
Her guest, Linda Gassenheimer, author of "Low-Carb Meals in Minutes" was quite impressive as an advocate by pointing out that her husband's CARDIOLOGIST ordered him on low-carb diet and that how they started!
Linda didn't know that low-carb is recommended for PCOS, and missed on that when a caller asked about that.
I forgot what she cooked as I was focuing on any wise cracks from Sara, but there were none. :)

i was rather disappointed in the program. i'd been looking forward to it all week. i've e'mailed sara several times requesting a lowcarb show. the first recipe, which was supposed to be for the guests equivilant of induction had 15carbs. that seemed like a lot when the whole days allotment is only 20. the rest of the recipes had 50 or more carbs in them. i guess to the general population that seems like lowcarb, but i think i'd be on 50carbs a day for maintenance!

I think she follows the Zone diet, which from my limited understanding of it, focuses on percentage rather than carb count. Do we have any Zone-ers here who can comment on those recipes/counts?

yes wa'il, i think you're right. i read the zone about a year ago and i remember that ratio. i'd met a mother of a girl i'd grown up with who'd been over weight all her life. she told me that her daughter was now a size 9 because she had done the zone which her brother, a doctor, had recommended to her. i found the zone way to much trouble. i find lowcarb easy and healthy. when i had my check-up last year, all my blood levels were fine. i'd never had a problem and eating lowcarb hadn't caused any.
thanks wa'il.
