Dr. Bernstien's Diabetes Solution
The Great Cholesterol Con: The Truth About What Really Causes Heart Disease and How to Avoid It
Eat Fat, Lose Fat: The Healthy Alternative to Trans Fats
These are the three books that will get you a good start, of course Good calorie, bad calorie by Taubes is probably the best place to start, very boring reading though!
There are so many good books out there. I'm waiting on Mary Enig's book Eat Fat, Lose Fat right now, but have heard its a great book! Berstiens is kind of the bible for diabetics! I haven't ordered The Great Cholesterol Con, but again have heard its very good. Hope some others will chime in, I love picking up good learning material! Hope this helps...Bru

Barry Groves first book is: "Eat Fat, Get Thin"... I haven't read his second book, but I'm sure it is just more of the same. If the first book isn't enough to impact the way you see food, the second book won't change anything either... I enjoyed the first book and it changed my way of eating, although I might not be eating the same way as Barry anymore, I consider his book led me to living a much healthier lifestyle. I'm sure his second book is probably very good also.

Boring?????????????? I though 'Good Calories, Bad Calories' was about the most gripping and exciting book I have read in a long time. I could not put that book down! I lost a lot of sleep because it is so long it took me a few day to get through it - and I'd be up every night until well after midnight reading because I could not bear to put it down, and would be groggy when I had to get up for work the next day.

I am almost done with the book now. Parts of it were great others I skimmed. I do think it gets better as you go along.
