I'm so pleased, I have to tell the world. Visited my doctor today and got latest Lab results. A1C was 5.9 This is down from 7.2 just two months ago. Moreover, we agreed to drop amaryl from my meds and add byetta (jenuvia). Getting rid of the amaryl should help me lose weight as it tends to drive the overproduction of insulin. This is probably why I have experienced several low BG readings since I started Lo Carb.
Great stuff, losing weight and improving diabetic health just by eating good food.

Excellent Dave.
The challenge will become to staying Lo-Carb.
But again, congratulations.
My last several readings have been 5.4,5.4 and 5.8.
So I have to watch myself.
I know it works. You know it works.
My challenge has been dropping weight.
Most importantly, is always keep your BG levels down; preferably under 100.
One hour after meals 120 to 140 and 2 hours after meals definitely back under 120 preferably heading down to 100 or less.
Best wishes,
Ralph

You are so right Ralph -- we have to have the drive to stay with it. I am helped with a couple of goals --1. the weight 2. my diabetic numbers and 3. I'd love to go get my FAA physical again with no strings attached.
ALSO, a correction --Byetta is not januvia that is another diabetic drug. Byetta is exenatide more commonly known as gila monster spit.

No attitude there, its just that my Doctor told me that to, and another told me it isn't, and after reading up on it, found that to be the truth, its not.....

Ok, so it is a synthetic equivalent of a component of gila monster saliva. So says the inventor. You may want to read this article--
