I have seen reference to "making coconut bark" twice on here but don't know what it is or where to find out how to make it. Can someone help me please? :help:

yOu,
It's a little piece of heaven and an easy way to get Coconut oil in ya'
4T or (1/4 cup) CO. I use virgin. It tastes better to me
1-1.5 T of unsweetened cocoa (I like hershey's Dark chocolate cocoa
artificial sweetener I use liquid sucralose, no carbs.
Put a metal cake pan in the freezer for 10 minutes
Melt the CO in pan
Add in cocoa and sweetener
Stir until they are all mixed good
Take pan and put wax paper in it
Pour the chocolate goodness in the pan.
Put in freezer for 10 minutes
Take out, it breaks in pieces.
I try to cut it into 4 even pieces and eat 3 because I take 3T of CO every morning. used to put it in tea, this is better. It hasn't stalled me so I guess so far, so good. It is sooooo good. Let me know how you like it.
Lisa
Thanks Lisa, I am going to make this with the chocoperfection bars.

yOu,
I was thinking about buying those bars. You gotta let me know how those turn out. I don't think you need sweetener then, right?
Onmyway,
The recipe that I got said 1/4 teaspoon of splenda or equivalent. I used the equivalent in liquid sucralose which wasn't bad but I had to add 4 drops of the liquid. My husband really only likes it with 6 drops. I just ordered the liquid drops online so I am really new at using it. It is really concentrated. I have used regular cocoa and dark chocolate cocoa, less carbs. Both unsweetened. Today I am going to play with it and add sunflower seed butter mixed in. It is pretty sweet so it might not need an AS or not much at all. It really just makes it so easy to get the CO in.
I hope it works out for you both. It's really good. I have a couple of other people that are going to try it out. Good luck.

LMMS, I got it in the frig now (waiting a bit before I transfer to freezer because I was afraid it would spill). I tasted the liquid and It tasted just like the bars except better! I can't wait until I get into the nuts rung and I can add coconut meat and nuts to this. :yum: :yum: :yum: How did the nut butter one turn out for you?

yOu,
I got too busy to add the sunflower seed butter today and tomorrow is going to be awful but I am going to try it out this weekend. I'll let you know. Yours sounds great. I am hungry thinking about it. Tell me how awesome it is. Are you taking the CO this late at night? If I do I am bouncing off the walls. I get so much energy people think I am a little crazy. I can only eat it for breakfast.

Do you have to use liquis sweetner?

Do you have to use liquis sweetner? No. Most granular sweeteners liquify on contact with moisture. Be sure to count the carbs in your sweetener, though. :)

Bekki,
I take them in the car on a paper plate. Gross, right. But the only thing you have to watch out for is melting. They melt in your hands. Eat them quick. Not hard, they are so good. I did put a recipe under the coconut oil thread with recipe for a better way to get the CO in. Sunflower butter cups. Just as easy to make. Check it out. I eat those on the go too.
Lisa
PS: bring paper towel or napkins. LOL

I can always use snacks in the car and I use to carry candy so this will hit the spot.
