Hi all,

I go to LA fitness twice a week plus I do some cardio activities outside couple of times a week as well.
After my training I’m taking a protein shake. Usually in the evening after 8pm.
Here is what I’m trying to find out:
I have a sleeping problem after I’m taking a Protein Smoozy (Lean Body from GNC).

Some types of Protein shakes are not making those problems to me but I forgot which one is “good” for me.

Does anyone experienced anything like this? Does anyone know what nutrition ingredient could cause this sleeping problem.
This is not connected to my late training, if I don’t take a Protein Shake I sleep well.
Thanks a lot

Maybe the B vitamins or the chromium? If it's the chocolate, maybe the coco powder has enough caffeine to disrupt your sleep.

I always have trouble sleeping, more so when I first start low carbing... induction level is very hard for me. Barely slept for weeks.

Keep us posted!

Maybe try eating something other than a protein shake late at night?

For example, turkey, milk products, and egg yolks are high in tryptophan, a protein that helps promote sleep. Maybe skip the processed shakes and have an omelette or a container of yogurt after your workouts instead?

If not, start keeping a food diary and record which specific brands and flavors interfere with sleep, and consume those varieties earlier in the day.
