I need to buy a new bathing suit soon. The one I have is a little loose. It's a 2 piece with a skirted bottom. I am going to start joining master swim classes (aimed at competitive swimming) and I feel like I should have a proper bathing suit. I wear about a size 18W and I need a long suit or a two piece. I'm happy to stay with what I've got, even though it's not very sleek. But if anyone has any suggestions for a suit good for a plus-sized apple with nonexistant butt and a terrible back, I'd love to hear it. I am not really willing to try a regular ladies 18L Speedo at the store without knowing if it's really made for a very thin person.

Janine, I have one of these (http://www.landsend.com/pp/SlenderTunicSwimsuit%7E4235_1518.html?bcc=y&action=order_more&sku_0=::BLA&CM_MERCH=IDX_00002__0000000134&origin=index) and it is a fabulous suit for swimming. Comes in a long torso, too. I do not think they have them in the long torso plus now though.
Most of the suits I buy come from Lands End.

Thanks - I forgot about Land's End. It's really needing the long torso that is tripping me up (and not finding plus size in that). I would try Junonia but they always seem to be for pears and I usually can't fill out the butt of ordinary swimsuits.
