Hi everyone! I've been lurking around, posting a little bit trying to get a feel for the place. I belong here with you all, having had over 100 lbs. to lose.

During my pregnancy, my weight crept up to just below 300 lbs (pregnancy starting weight 250-ish). I've managed to get back down where I started in the almost two years since he's been born, (I kept using the excuse that I was still BFing not to try to lose weight, but I'm not going to let that stop me anymore!) but really need to get back on the bandwagon and get serious!

I'm a second-timer, I lost almost 50 lbs. back in '04 (my high weight back then was only 220- shoot I'd love to just be there again!). But when I met and fell in love with who would eventually become my "baby daddy", the weight started to creep back and and by the time I got pregnant (like I said above) I was already up to about 250! (Oh, throw in there too that I quit smoking three months before getting pregnant, and used that as an excuse to eat any and everything I could get my hands on!!)

Anywho, I'm long winded, but that's my intro!

I got pregnant at 250 with my first, got up to 290 or so while pregnant with my third and have gotten to 195 on Atkins. Good luck! It is possible! Congratulations on quitting smoking - that is huge.

For whatever reasons you're here, you are welcome!

Read anywhere on the site, take whatever works for you. Honestly, no two bodies are the same, and what works for me stalls others and vice versa. Some people swear by this supplement or that, others say if you eat just natural foods, that's best. There are various plans -- do what works for you.

So welcome to the forum. There are bound to be stalls and plateaus -- stick with it. Don't let anything keep you from the commitment you're making. I see this all over the posts, and I think about it when I want to eat something that I know is high carb -- "nothing tastes as good as thin feels." This is not a diet, it's a way of life.

Looks like your doing really well and will enjoy the support you'll find here.
There's a lot of long winded souls here! You'll fit right in!
You might want to consider starting a journal to track your journey too.

From one windy person to another....welcome!

Welcome! I'm back as well trying to be healthy. Congrates on the stopping smoking. If you can do that, you can do anything.
