Hi all,

I've done SB before, but I added white rice my first day on phase 2 and it snowballed into disaster. That was years ago though.

I looked through the first few pages of threads and I can't seem to find an answer to my ?, so I figured I'd ask it.

I'm on day 2 and I feel all wonky. I have a dull headache, not sure if it's from SBD or not. Will pain killers fix it? I just don't feel like myself, almost like I've got the flu, randomly hot/cold (which could be my husband playing with the thermostat). I'm not hungry, but I keep munching thinking it might fix me.

Am I doing something wrong? I added some black beans with lunch thinking that maybe I didn't get enough good carbs yesterday.

I seem to remember feeling this way is a side effect of Atkins induction, but I didn't think it was with SBD. Can I do something to fix this other than just work through it?

Hello and welcome to the Beach!

Sorry to tell you but you are going through a withdrawal from all that you are giving up...it will take about 3-4 days.

In the meantime, you did right by adding some beans and you are allowed 2 cups of redcued or low fat dairy daily...this can be yogurt or milk.

Did you read the SBD book yet? If you click on my journal button and go to the 1st page in it, you will find all the food lists and meal plan charts that I brought here from the SBD web site itself. Please use these to guide you as you learn to eat this way. The meal plan charts will show you how to eat with snacks.

The Meal Plan charts are the best tool I've found!!

Now, do tell why you choose to eat white rice? ;) that was a big :nono:  I'm sure you will not be doing that again! This time when you start phase II, you will have 1 piece of fruit per day for the first week.

You will feel better soon...I promise!! Hang in there! :agree:

We were at one of those hibachi restaurants where they give you rice as a side... I knew 2 hours after I ate it that it was not good. Gosh that was years ago though.

I've read the book past phase 1, the original book, not the "supercharged" one. I have a pretty kickin exercise routine that I enjoy, didn't think I needed the new book.

So good, I've had a cup of skim milk both days too, so I'm not that far off. The only thing I haven't done, is I haven't been able to add veggies to breakfast. I tried the first day to eat some mushrooms, but I don't think my stomach was ready for it after the egg, I just about threw them up. (I'm normally a 2 slices of wheat toast girl.)

I figure the first thing I'll add back this time is raspberries or blackberries, since that's the fruit I miss most.

Thanks for the my journal suggestion, still trying to figure out how to navigate this site.

I guess I'll just say I have PMS if I get accused of being grumpy.

It took me weeks to learn how to navigate this site...give yourself a few days of coming here and you'll get it too.

Yes...grumpy from PMS is a great excuse!!

I feel better today, if anyone is new and is interested in how long the crud lasts. It's day 4.

I'm not sure I crave anything right now, and am amazingly full on small portions of food. I put on my plate what I think I would normally want, and I end up putting half of it in a container for later.

clean = good for making the cravings leave sooner.
