Ingredients:
1/2 stick of butter
1 square (1 oz) of Baker's unsweetened chocolate
2.5oz cream cheese
1 tsp of vanilla essence
1 egg
6 packets of artificial sweetener

In a small pan, melt the butter, choc & cream cheese on low heat. Then add egg, sweetener & vanilla. Bake in a greased pan at 325F for 10 to 15 min. Do not overcook.

The original recipe has 1/3 cup of grounded almonds. I totally forgot to add the almonds in yet they tasted lovely. Kind of like "mock Toblerone" but without the white bits. I ran out of butter so I only used a little over 2oz. I used 2 packets of Stevia & 2 packets of Low n Sweet instead of 6 packets of AS. I lined the pan with a piece of baking paper instead of greasing the pan. I'll make another one again tomorrow, this time I'll add in some hazelnuts (have some that expire on the 30th Mar, have to use them asap).
I put it in the fridge for a couple of hours b4 I ate it & it's sinfully nice. This choc-treat is extremely easy to make, it takes 5 min preparation time & a little over 10 min to bake. Most importantly, just a little washing-up afterwards.

PS. How much is 1/2 stick of butter? About 4oz?

I sure do like the sound of this! Now all I have to dois see if I can find the ingredients in the north of Scotland ;) Living up here in the boonies isn't always all it's cracked up to be!

As far as I can remember from life Stateside, all those many moons ago, a stick of butter is 4 ounces, or 1/2 an American cup.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of this section, BTW!

Hi Beth,
My pleasure!
Last week I made another one of these. This time I followed the entire recipe & it was wickedly nice.
I've been to Scotland twice & I was in love with the place! The view & the landscape was mesmerizing. I'm rather envious of u ;)
I'll talk to u again soon, Beth. And have a Happy LC Easter!

If you'd like to see the nutritional info on this, I have just added this to my collection of MyPLAN recipes. I took it as a single serving, although I would most likely break this into pieces and nibble. Total ECC for the entire recipe was just under 10g, which is not bad for chocolate!

Enjoy! I have not yet tried this myself (hopefully later today) but I can't imagine it not tasting good. I'll try to come back later with an update. :)
