I am currently on induction, after I strayed for about 1 week. I am only 22pds away from my goal and I was wondering if someone could give me advice as of when I should transition over to the next step?

Also as far as the Carb level does it work something like this: add 5 gms more carbs so 20(induction)+5=25 for the first week adding in things with #1 on the carb ladder, week 2 would be 30gms of carbs adding in things from #2 on the carb ladder etc....

the best suggestion i can give you for transitioning is to listen to your body. how do you feel now? is your weight loss steady or jumping around? how do you feel about your food choices? are you bored? are you ready to add more? even though the steps are outlined as "per week" in the book, it's really a matter of choice as to when you move into what stage.

you're correct on the carb ladder progression. you stop adding carbs when your weight loss stops or you begin to gain (and i'm talking about actual stall, not just not losing for 2 days or bouncing up because of water weight).
