Make sure you have a protein snack around 7-8pm, like a hunk of cheese. That holds off my hunger pains. Also be sure you drink all your water (2-4 liters), thirst at night can seem like hunger. From my own experiences, I must admit.

I have the same exact problem. About ten o'clock at night I get sooo hungry. I crave carbs really bad about that time. I am going to try the cheese thing maybe it will help. Thanks. :thup:

I too get hungry at night. I'll scramble an egg or eat a little cottage cheese or 23 almonds.
I was wondering if my night snack was getting in the way of my weight loss. Are we supposed to stopp eating at a certain point to get the most benefit from this plan I have never seen a reference to this subject in the books I have read.

HI there all with the late night hunger pains:)
I have found that the more I stay full (as long as in the guidelines of Lc ) I lose more weight. For those late night cravings here are a few things I eat....(not all at once mind you).
*fried Crisp Bacon w/ dipped in hidden valley ranch dip
*Pork Rinds Whichever flavor tickles your fancy
*ham roll up w/ cream chesse and chives
*celery w/ a thin spread of all natural peanut butter
*nuts
*cheese sticks
*Cottage cheese
*Turkey/cheese and musturd roll ups
*Sugar Free Jello w/ real whipped cream
*Carbo/addicts protein powder shake,,,,Blend it with some ice
(nice summer treat packed with protein)
*Boiled eggs w/ artifical salt
*Deviled eggs
* Egg salad
* Tuna
Keep at least 3 items made up at all times . So you will have a choice. Don't keep them in unattractive containers...Make them pleasing to the eye... on a nice platter. Otherwise when you peel back that tin foil...it sends a yucky message to your brain....Like ...Uhhh Do I realllllllyyy wanna eat this?!
Hope this helps someone - :roll:

I have delt with this issue for so long now and will share a few of my observations/solutions.
1. Drink 4 cups of water whenever you walk into the kitchen ready to graze late at night. Now we all know we'll be up all night in the bathroom, but the water will make you full and will prevent overeating.
2. Space out your meals all day so that at the end of the day ( late at night) you need to consume one more snack! Of course something "legal", but something satisfying.
3. PLAN what you are going to eat all day, to include the late night snack. If there is something else you want later, tell yourself that you will have it tomorrow if you still want it then.
HTH.
regards,
Brenda
