hi guys, im usually at atkins lady - but decided i fancy a change, and a healthier life style - ive read the douth beach diet book which isnt very informative

are there any better SBD books out there?

my q's are

1) what is the low fat cheese daily allowance?
2) does everyone have the daily tom juice?
3) are veg really unlimited?
4) is olive oil restricted?
5) are olives allowed AND olive oil?

Hi annasophia,
The official SB food lists and meal plans on posted in the Babes Thread on page 41.
Just go to that thread then go back to page 41 scroll down and you'll find the post from Judy.

I'd suggest you print them off and save them to your computer. These lists and meal plan are the most helpful tools for doing SB.

All the foods are listed per phase. The only thing that isn't clear is cheese. Keep in mind its high in fat/calories. Most count their cheese as part of the daily dairy.

I don't do much tomato juice as it can be high in salt. My body loves salt so when I eat any extra salt I have a gain that takes days to get rid of.

Non starchy veggies are unlimited.

Olive oil should be used within the daily amounts for fat listed on the food lists
Not totally sure where olives are on the food lists but they are hgih in salt and fat. So that is also somthing I don't much of.

I'm glad skippie told you where to find the food lists and meal plan charts. :thup: ..they are also on the first page of my journal.

1-Cheese happens to be listed as an unlimited protein...even though we use low fat versions. I think this is wrong and do limit my cheese to 1-2 ozs per day.
2-V8 or tomato juice is an option instead of veggies....veggies are always preferable to juice...the juice is just an option.
3-Phase I veggies are unlimited...not phase II veggies.....see the food lists.
4- all fats are limited on SB...portions are located on the food lists and meal plan charts.
5- olive oil and olives are both allowed.....when you follow the meal plan charts, you will see that we get to choose one fat per meal....either evoo or olives but not both at the same time. :idea:

I will admit to overdoing it on the fats as I use EVOO in my dressings and love to add olives to my salads. Olives and avocados are both lists as fats due to their high "good fat" contents. I have to be careful as I would eat an entire avocado and olives and use EVOO all at the same time!! :lol: ;)

you know the cheese says 6g fat or less? what is that - per serving, or per 100g?

and the 75cal sweettreats - i have some weight watchers hard boiled sweets sugar free - would i be allowed these or the fruties?

also - its not mentioned on your list - but onion is limited to half a onion per day xx

whats a WW hard boiled sweet?
Sweet treat can be up to 100 cals per day.
also - its not mentioned on your list - but onion is limited to half a onion per day xx
