Just wanted to find out if anyone on the forum has tried drinking or even making their own kombucha? And, if so, what were your experiences?

It's supposed to have lots of goodies in it that you can't get elsewhere, so I was thinking of adding it to my list of supplements etc.

I've bought some that seems "kosher", so to speak, but it seems to keep me awake, despite the alcohol content. And I don't really want to drink anything alcoholic during the day!

We make our own - the kids especially like it. I'm not sure it's so alcoholic as you think.

I got slightly tipsy off it. My sister-in-law brought some over and I had it and then felt slightly dizzy. Turns out my brother is really sensitive to it also. :p

That's interesting - maybe it's because we make our own, it's not so bad.

No one else got tipsy off it, probably if I hadn't had an empty stomach it wouldn't have happened. My SIL thinks my brother and I are nuts.
