Found this today on Google News UK. According to the research described here, you'll be be more rational and less prone to impulsive decision-making when you're getting plenty of tryptophan, the amino acid which is needed to make serotonin.
And guess which foods contain lots of this stuff: you got it, low-carb stuff like red meat, cheese and nuts.
If anyone is interested in how these studies get interpreted by journalists, I recommend going on to Google News UK and comparing the articles covering this study.
One mentions red meat, but another puts cheese in the headline! One couldn't possibly promote red meat, could one? Everybody knows it's bad for you!!!
