I thought that this idea deserved a thread of it's own, so I've started one! :)

Tell you what we should do, as Atkins is becoming a bit expensive- especially induction- post any offers we see on Atkinsy things in the UK supermarkets.

Morrissons (I love you, you are so cheap!) - 2 packs of shedloads of chicken drumsticks for £4 - a bargain if you can eat them all before they go off. On induction I probably could!

I am currently buying their 'Save £5 when you buy 2x packs of chicken breast fillets', as I can't imagine anything interesting to do with drumsticks. Also for the fishlovers, go to the fresh fish counter and look for offers -last week I bought a whole medium sized rainbow trout at Moz's for 84p!! Stuffed it with rosemary garlic and butter- mmmmmmmmmmmm :yum:

Also Splenda, Camembert and cheddar are on offer there at the moment

Any other deals going on in the High Street?

Good idea kimberly. i too am finding it expensive on induction so any bogof offers are for me. For anyone looking for 100% coconut oil, i found a 500ml bottle in my local asian supermarket it was only 2.25. i also bought a huge bag of almonds there for under 3.00. i haven't used the oil in cooking yet but my hands now smell good enough to eat lol.
tescos are doing bacon bogof so i've stocked up on that. splenda 100 mini's are also on offer there

If anyone uses it, Holland & Barrett are currently selling their whey protein in the 'less than half price sale' - it's £11.99 for a 908g tub, instead of the usual £25.99.

The offer is valid until 12th June.

Personally, I love Tesco's BBQ steak. It's so thin you can throw it on the pan and cook it in seconds. Failing that, M&S have a thin steak, but it's at least twice the price.

Rib steak always seems to be to be an absolute steal. The cheapest steak there is, and it's lovely and juicy.

Anyone up to the dairy rung of OWL and who buys the Fgge Total greek yogurt (10% fat) I have found that Lidl's greek yogurt comes in 1 kilo pots for about the same price as Waitrose sell a 500gram pot of the Fage brand.

Lidl's cottage cheese is only 2g of carbs per 100g, and it's cheap.

Tesco's Simply Better range of greek yogurt only has about 3-4g of carbs. Also, Normandy Fromage Fraise is only 3.3g of carbs.

Oh, another Tesco thing worth buying is their tubes of anchovy puree. It's very low carb, and amazing for adding a savory hit to boring soups or stews, without being fishy tasting.

Waitrose has their own brand cream cheese (soft creamy cheese) on sale at 1/3 off - it has half the carbs of philly!
also they had 1/4 pounder Aberdeen Angus Burgers for 1/3 off, at £2. 09 for a pack of 4. 0.3 carbs per burger from the seasonings used I guess.
I just had one topped with grated cheddar cheese and served between 2 large portobello mushrooms - YUM!!

Is this thread London only or are the prices the same in all the stores of a same chain?
I'm moving to Oxford soon, you see? :)

I'm moving to Oxford soon, you see? :)No, not just London. The prices should all be the same in each chain of stores.

That's a good point, Thump.

I think Demi is right and prices for the big chains are uniform across the country.
