My apricot tree is raining apricots so I'm eating loads of them. Raw they're sweet with a lovely tang.

Last night I thought about people cooking apples in butter with cinnamon and thought... I could do that with apricots!

So I put them in a small pan with butter and cinnamon and a little freshly grated nutmeg. I cooked them until the sugars browned a bit. They looked like they would be sweet and buttery and lovely....

WRONG! They got really sour. I don't know why but it was all I could do to eat them.

HA ha ha ha han han!!! As Cartman would say.

I tried a marinade. I wanted to try raw meat. Anyway, so I put vinegar and salt then the meat. Then I put the 'ware in the fridge overnight. The salt kinda fought with the vinegar and nobody won. It tasted really, hum, bland.

Oooh... you've inspired me. I'm thinking an apricot sauce on some meat would be really nice.

Anything made with more than a smidge of flax seed. My tastebuds must be super sensitive to that flaxy taste. Ugh!
