Hello everyone, I'm quite new here. I searched this forum for any info on nut flours, but apparently 'nut' is too short or too common to search!!

I am looking for nut flours or nut meal to cook with. So far I have found chestnut flour at www.flourbin.co.uk (http://www.flourbin.co.uk) and have used ground almonds from health food shops, but found it to be a bit too course when baking.

There are so many types of nut and it seems as though there is more variety available over in America, but I was wondering if anyone here knows where other nut flours can be bought over here in the UK, or Europe?

I buy from morrisons or any grocery store incl holland and barrat

Almond Meal
Hazelnut meal

These r perfect for baking they are like a powder and i use them all the time.. I mix almond and flaxseed for a lot of my bread..

Also if you have a food processor grab some walnuts and make your own :)

(flaxseed meal is really nice too)

I second the food processor suggestion!

Then you can make it as coarse or as fine as you want it.

Thank you. I had a look in a couple of local health shops, including one Holland & Barratt, but couldn't find any. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough! I will definitely be more thorough next time, or just stock up on nuts for grinding :)
