Hi,

I'm no vegetarian (I tried for years but it always left me sick and anemic) but I have a great appreciation for good vegetarian food (and not handling raw meat). :)

Someone recently asked for help with recipes for vegan desserts. I spent a lot of time pulling together recipes for her, but I think she never came back or forgot. Maybe this can be of use to someone else:

Vegan Desserts and Sweet Foods (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?p=7374181#post7374181)

And since I'm over here, posting in your territory anyway, I'll point you to one of my favorite food blogs. It happens to be vegetarian. She has several low carb recipes:

Sundried Tomato Cottage Cheese Muffins (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/cottage-cheese-muffins-recipe.html)
Butter-Toasted Hazelnuts (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/buttertoasted-hazelnuts-recipe.html)

Thai-Spiced Pumpkin Soup (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001525.html)
Curried Egg Salad (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/curried-egg-salad-recipe.html)
Omelette Wraps (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/skinny-omelette-recipe.html)
Sunburst Carrot Salad (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/sunburst-carrot-salad-recipe.html)
Moroccan Baby Carrot Salad (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/moroccan-baby-carrot-salad-recipe.html)
Edemame Salad with Meyer Lemon Vinaigrette (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001353.html) (you might want a substitute for the maple syrup)
Golden Crusted Brussels Sprouts (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/goldencrusted-brussels-sprouts-recipe.html)
Carrot Oven Fries (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001529.html)
Stovetop Smoker Sampler (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001111.html)
Asian Salad with Peanut-Sesame Dressing and Gingered Tofu (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001096.html) (again, you need to avoid the maple syrup, but wow!)
Cumin-Spiked Tofu (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/cuminspiked-tofu-recipe.html)
Garam Masala Tofu Scramble (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/garam-masala-tofu-scramble-recipe.html)
Grilled Kabobs (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/my-favorite-grilled-kabob-recipe.html) (minus the bread crumbs)
Carmelized Tofu (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/caramelized-tofu-recipe.html) (this will require a small modification)
Rajasthani Buttermilk Curry (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001407.html)
Pureed Mexican Sauce (not tomato salsa, not mole) (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/000325.html)
Homemade Ricotta (http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/000282.html)

If you eat beans and lentils, there's a whole lot more over there.

I hope that helps someone. :)

Hi Allison!
That was me who posted the note in the Kitchen Talk forum. Thank you so much for responding and taking the time to put together the list. I never got the notification that you responded, which is why I never found it, but I'm going to go through these one by one and stock up on recipes again!

Tam

Hi Tammay! The moderators moved your post from "Sweet Treats" to "Kitchen Talk". That's probably why you didn't find it again.

Bon Appetit!
