What happens if say, I'm in induction phase.. and I eat an entire bag of chips... how bad does this set me back?

It will set you back - but you just jump back on the horse. The biggest thing is that it will give you some cravings and likely kick you out of ketosis. The reason you want to avoid is because you want to get the sugar out of your system so that you can get beyond the cravings so it gets easier to avoid the starches and carbs.

I wish I could throw the bags away.. I have them hidden in the garage... and a pre-meditated plan to go and grab a bag tonight.... I just don't have the money to afford half the things on the low-carb list... and I'm sick of eggs.
I just hope I can jump start back to low carb once I break it.

Ohh...I was under the impression you'd already done the bag of chips. I'd skip the chips if I were you. There are other low cost things you can have other than eggs. Throw a low cost cut of meat in the crock pot with some water or broth and a few veggies. That's pretty affordable and will give you some variety. Get some high fat hamburger and cook it up - that stuff is pretty cheap per pound. Eat a salad with some chicken. Roast a chicken. You can make it affordable using lower cost cuts of meat and creative cooking techniques. :)

you'll have to go through withdrawal again.

A bag of chips is what, $2.00, sometimes more.
You'd even be better off goin to fast food place and ordering 2 burgers off the $1 menu and tossing the buns.
And go get the chips out of the garaage. Drop them off atyou local food pantry on your way to get the burgers.
Tomorrow's another day.
Some people do atkins and LC without eating on single egg

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you thinking about sabotaging yourself? Storing chips so you can eat them on purpose? I'm confused, since you stated just a few posts ago about how great the "diet" is working and how you wanted to know what the catch is.
If it is really working that great, why would you want to sabotage it? Why would you want to eat the chips?

Don't do the chips, CordFly. Really. They'll kill you.
Read Gary Taubes' Good Calories, Bad Calories. I've read through it twice. I now understand how fat metabolism works, why I've gained so much weight, why I have no energy, and why the low-carb diet works.
Those chips are poison for someone like me - and I suspect someone like you too. I can't imagine ever eating that way again.

Give those chips to the homeless as they really need them. Boil up some eggs, a jar of pickles, a block of cheese. As long as you have them, you'll think about them until ..... and (this is from experience) you eat them and feel sick to your stomach, bet bloated, gas... It just aint pretty
