I read on some site but cant remember where that soy based products taste shocking and can cause stalls but cant remember where i read this i was just wondering as was going to order some muffin mix from the net and the prices they are charging dont want something that is discusting to eat and end up throwing it out. I also read that its best to keep it simple and wait till maintaince to add these things anyone know for sure as i am very interested in an answer.

Atkins use a lot of Soy Protein Isolate in his products. The bakemix for example that is sold through GNC contains soy. And yes, it tastes disgusting!

But not all products do. Picture of Health is about to release a pikelet mix that contains soy protein isolate and it tastes just like real pikelets.

Not sure why it would cause a stall. If you mean soy flour then that would contain some carbs. But soy protein isolate has virtually no carbs. Soy protein isolate has been reported as being very beneficial for fat loss. You may want to check out www.protein.com. They specialise in soy protein.

Hope this helps :).

thanks steve for you reply perhaps i have had a memory loss :) but looking for decent products in Australia is enough to send anyone brain dead. I think i will just keep it simple like dr A;s book and ppl recommend and just wait a bit longer before adding things. It just gets boring eating eggs and meat and a few vegies all the time. but will keep it up a bit longer till i am closer to maintance thanks for you help though much appreciated
