I have officially decided to go low carb thruout my whole pregnancy. I already weigh 152.5 on a 5'7" frame and don't think that I need to gain much weight to provide the nutrients that this baby needs.
Please critique me...I am posting this for advice...I am a first timer here.
I plan to stay around 50-75 carbs a day, I plan to drink one glass of milk a day (if I can handle it), one piece of low carb fruit each day, and lots of protein and healthy fats! I also plan to strength train 3X a week, and do a light amount of cardio each day (walking my dog for 20 minutes).
What do you think? Before I gained weight (I went on Lexapro and ballooned) I weighed a very healthy 138 pounds.

I think that sounds very reasonable! Don't forget your veggies.

What you're suggesting sounds totally do-able.
You can always start out with a set number of carbs that you plan to have, and then modify your plan if the need arises.
I tried to stay mostly low-carb during my pregnancy. I ended up gaining 24 pounds. (I'm due in three days.) I gained 10 of those pounds during the last month, so it's probably mostly baby weight, which is good.
I didn't have any trouble with eating low-carb except for when I had morning sickness. There were some days when all I could stomach was crackers and ginger ale. (And, other days when I totally gave in to my cravings.) But, I feel like following a mostly low-carb plan helped me with my weight.
Now...the next challenge is breastfeeding and low-carbing.

Have you considered taking a multi-vitamin to pick up any trace minerals your body will need?

Honestly, what you're proposing sounds GREAT to me...and I managed to do some of it for some of my pregnancy, but I just didn't manage to do it throughout. (I did stay very active exercise-wise.) So are you taking pre-natal vitamins? I did those plus DHA supplements and extra folic acid in addition to eating foods rich with it as well. But other than that I have no additional suggestions. Best of health to you!

Oops...I am also taking a prenatal vitamin each day. I don't want to add anything else before I have my first D/A on 3/19.
I am going to the beach for 12 days in May and this is going to be a quite interesting vacation with my belly in my bikini!!! I am going to show it proud!
