which variety of radish has got more nutritive value red

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radish says that radishes are a
good source of vitamin C, Otherwise, radishes are mainly eaten
for their flavor and low carbohydrate density.

White

White radishes contain biologically active isothiocyanate
which is highly effective in inhibiting superoxide generation.
Whereas red radishes are noted for their anthocyanins which
are rapidly degraded by intestinal flora greatly reducing its
bioavailabity.

can u explain what is meant by superoxide generation in lay
terms, since i am not a medical proffessional...???
