Last night my husband fried some shrimp and made up his own batter - believe it was flour and meal - and I decided I would eat some - should have known better - well, today I have abdominal swelling and pain.

Could this be an allergy to wheat and white? Just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this.

Could very well be gluten intolerance, or celiac disease. Sometimes when you've been off gluten for awhile the reaction gets worse.

If you want testing, I recommend http://enterolab.com they also have a lot of info there about gluten intolerance. Also http://www.glutenfreeandbeyond.org is a good support group. Lot of people on low carb diets (now) there. :)

It could be the shrimp............

I know you'll think; "but my huband was ok", but it is possible for one to get sick from it and not the other....
