Vitamin D3 gelcaps
R-Lipoic acid or alpha-lipoic acid, taken with biotin (because lipoic acid competes with biotin for transport across cell membranes, lipoic acid interferes with the body's ability to use biotin and therefore biotin should be supplemented if lipoic acid is taken)

Chromium's supposed to help; alpha lipo helps get sugar out of the blood but I can't / won't take it; it makes me crazy. Really crazy--it crosses the blood-brain barrier and I get racing thoughts I can't control. Plus, constipation from hell.
D3's good for everything.
However--you don't say what the rest of your supplement program looks like. I suspect getting a good base of everything you could take will do as much good if not more than trying to treat one particular symptom.
And for hypothyroidism, it would appear that the treatment is thyroid hormones in one form or another. Not a lot of supplement alternatives there, unless you're deficient in iodine, which is rare but not impossible, depending on what you eat.
Good luck.

Check out the diabetes forum, they've got lots of them they take for Type 2 that is basically really bad insulin resistance.

Thanks everyone for your input. I am already taking a multivitamin, but wanted to help out the thyroid. I went out this morning and bought a Thyroid blend at the Health food store.
Thanks Again
Anne
