:daze: I feel like I have been on this diet forever. I have only been on 3 days. I guess I am expecting some kind of a miracle. I want to know if it is alright to drink diet mountain dew. I only drink 1 can or bottle a day. I need it since I gave up coffee. When does the energy come? I am awfully tired. I take a multi vitamin. I was hoping to get energy soon. I was a very big sweet eater, but the diet jello helps, but I still want sweets.

Hello carb.

I wouldnt recommend diet soda while on induction... The induction is to help rid your self of sugars, cafeene, and carbs. The energy will come sooon dont worry. The first days of it is the toughtest.... It gets better... Im not going to lie you will go threw a detox some time in your induction... Its your body getting rid of all those toxins from carbs and sugar... Its worth it...

Also the first 2 weeks help break cravings... If you to the sugar free jello I wouldnt recommend you doing it in the first 2 weeks no more than once a week in order to help with the cravings... Some foods that are legal may cause you to crave if you find them foods just cut them out or cut them back...

You can do it... I was highly addicted to carbs and sugar. It was nothing for me to go to a store and come out with at least 1- 2 differents kinds of candy and eat it up.. and yumm potatoes were just a delight.. well now I dont have any and I now dont miss having them... You will also come to this point...

Keep telling your self that your health is worth it... And in the long run you will feel so much better. The energy will come soon.. Your body is goign threw some major changes right now and thats why you feel so tired and the fact you are not eating sugar and carbs...

Your body will find a new source of energy! Then you will start going great.... Keep up the good work and dont give up if I can do it any one can..

For me, the first few days are the worst. You feel like it's not going to work, that you're just wasting your time and energy...but then it will happen...you will lose a pound and then two and then you will start to feel better, if not great. You WILL have more energy than before the diet. You will be happier and more free than ever. The most important part right now is to follow the rules. Count your carbs from cheese, meat, and eggs. Have your allowed veggies or salad, but count your dressing (blue cheese is the lowest). Don't cheat, you won't lose weight and you'll have to start all over again. Have your cup of coffee, but drink your WATER. Sooner or later, you won't feel the need for coffee. I believe the carbs made me tired and I needed caffiene and nicotine. Kicked the both now...I just drink water if I get a craving. Stay with it, and post yoour weight lose...it'll help. We'll be watching and hoping!!! :)
