Hi everyone. I am back from a very long break....I love this forum and should have stuck around longer. I gained back about 20 of 100+ pounds that I have lost 3 years ego. Now I am back to lose it. My questions is, do I need to read the book again, are there lots of changes to the LC eating? I read my book a long time ago and I am sure there are many new versions of the book by now. Any suggestions or am I ok just knowing what I know.

Thanks, Tanya

Welcome back! Yes, you should re-read the book. A lot of us "think" we remember everything perfectly...but we usually don't. I'm sure you'll get that 20 off in no time!

Absolutely do read the book again! There are too many details that are easily forgotten over the years.

There are newer editions, but it's fine to follow the one you have. I use the 2002 edition, which keeps carbs below 20g/day during Induction. Then you are supposed to follow the Carbohydrate Ladder to slowly add more carbs into your diet, until you reach the maximum your body can handle.

Unfortunately, the newer editions recommend that you use Atkins bars and shakes as part of your diet. Here, you will find that those products often cause people to stall. (YMMV, however.) At any rate, the newer editions are fine, as long as one ignores the advice to use Atkins products.

Thanks ladies. I have used Atkins bars and shakes througout my weight loss and didn't have any problems. Guess I was one of the lucky ones since they are so easy to grab on the run. But I do watch how much of those I eat. Thanks again, I have to dig my book out :).

I am currently rereading my DANDR and I am remembering so much that I had forgotten, plus the inspiration I am getting from it.
