I was on this diet once and I got lost in it. I had lost about 12 pounds in 3 months I was down to 218. I couldn't lose anymore weight, no matter how much I tried, it wasn't working out for me. I just started eating bad again. I am now 232 a few months later, and I am depressed. I want to lose all this weight by summer. I want to become 180, 190 by then if I have too. Something has to happen for me, I can't stand it.

My temptation gets to me, and I can't hold it back. I am going to try again and just need some support.

My exercise will only be biking right now, and maybe some crunches... How long should I ride my bike each day?

You can do it!
A couple of questions: are you riding a bike outside or inside? Do you watch TV or listen to an iPod or what?

Are there other activities that you enjoy, besides biking, like walking or hiking? It helps me incredibly to mix up my workouts, doing different things. I especially like doing circuits. There's a track near my home that has a "par course" feature with outside workout equipment. Sometimes I'll play tennis against the wall for 15 minutes, then jog the track for 15 minutes then do the par course for 15 minutes. A great all over workout and not boring at all. I also use my iPod at the same time, listening to the news or podcasts or audiobooks.

You might like doing some floor exercises for 15 minutes in the morning while you watch the news and then bike in the afternoon. You don't have to do a workout all at the same time.

I also have a mini-workout of 5 or 6 key moves, mostly abs and glutes which I do on days when I can't work out. For me, doing something every day keeps exercise part of my lifestyle, not something I do when I "have time". Put yourself first!

Well everything else bores me, except playing football, but I have no one to play with. I have to get up early in the mornings and have no time to exercise. I ride my bike outside and don't listen to anything, maybe I should listen to my ipod.

I am thinking of riding about 20 mins a day.. I guess that is good?

Welcome!!

As much as exercise is key to success....getting your food right is more so. :agree:

So with that in mind, have you seen the food lists and meal plan charts yet? Find them on page 41 of the Sout Beach Babes thread...print them up and come back here often for feedback.

Many of us use a journal here to log our food each day...I recommend this for you too.

I think 20 minutes is a good start. If you get your iPod, go to iTunes and go to "podcasts" you can download/subscribe for free all kinds of programs, form comedy, to TV shows to news, etc. I love them! I'm a news junkie so I listen to 60 Minutes, Face the Nation, Meet the Press, etc. I can catch up on all the news programs that I don't have time to watch. But music is great too.

I'm challenging myself to try new exercises, even things I don't think I will like, just for the heck of it. You never know, you might find something else that clicks.

Last week I called Comcast and added the "Health and Fitness" ON demand package and there's a ton of exercise programs you can watch on your TV when you want to watch them. I did the 10 minutes ab workout before I even had my morning tea. And now I feel energized to do more today exercise-wise. I think I'm going to do one in the morning and one in the evening as a new regimen. Pretty easy.
