I didnt know where to post this so im putting here.............anyway there has been a series of programmes on the tv here in the UK, all dealing with healthy eating etc. they even have dead bodies on there - sliced, to show the effects of certain ailments etc. they had the bodies of a 350lbs man and a 168lb man, then they showed you the effect of fast food, bad fats etc. the 350lbs man was gross, his heart was nearly all fat, his lungs were half the size of the 168lb man and his abdomen was nearly all fat - totally gross. even the muscles in his legs were half fat. certainly opened my eyes. im not too sure, but i think they got the videos on at www.channel4.com - if you got the stomach to watch that is. - its also motivated me to try harder to lose my 14 lbs excess

I saw that with the lovely Jamie Oliver! Was quite gross but certainly interesting. Especially the rugby player thet told that he was obese but only had 15% body fat go figure!!

Great programmes - definitely food for thought! I still eat chicken too but only free range, especially after Jamie's programme and Hugh's chicken farming series... :)

I turned off the chicken programme just before the killed the male chicks, just couldn't watch it and don't need to see it... I've bought ethically raised chicken and eggs for a long time but didn't the programme say that that always happens to the male chicks regardless of how ethical the business is?

yep. because they cant use the male chicks.
it said that all the chicks start off in that factory place then some go to nice free range places and some go to caged places.

Just watched Supersize verses Superskinny. This week, the skinny girl was supposed to be a carb-phobic, but her breakfast seemed to be cereal and toast, and her lunch was apples and blueberries, so I couldn't understand how that worked! Actually, it seemed to me that she wasn't eating nearly enough protein or fat.

Someday I'm going to go to Gillian McKeith's house, yell at her, and make her do a poo on demand.
