I know that with the SBD, plenty of water is needed to maintain a lower weight. My body loves to hang on to water as if it's gold, so I make sure that I always have a bottle in my hand. However, I'm worried that maybe I'm drinking too much water and that it would do the opposite and make me heavier/bloated. Is this possible? Or would my body keep getting rid of the water no matter how much I take in? I currently drink 2-2.5 liters a day, but could easily drink more than that.

That is already a good amount for you at your weight and I would not be trying to push more.
Yes, it is possible to drink too much.
The amounts you are drinking now are just fine. Keep your sodium intake down and you won't have a problem.

I have done some research on this. It seems that the current data is saying that you should drink 55% of your body weight in ounces. It has something to do with the liver and kidneys. So if a person weighed 100 lbs, they should drink 55 oz. of water a day. I personally try to drink over 100 oz. It really helps me. I've been doing it since I was over 200 lbs. So I have just kept it up.
