Hello! Today is my first post on this forum.
I was on another South Beach Diet Forum but it seems they no longer exist, so here I am.
I am ending my 3rd week. I am enjoying the SBD and am doing well with a 13 pound weight loss thus far! I feel good and my clothes are noticeably looser. I am planning to begin Phase 2 on Tuesday, which will be a complete 3 weeks on Phase 1.
My question is - when I start Phase 2, and if I indulge a little one day......down the road..............and I go back to Phase 1 as the book says - just to lose the little weight I added - will I go through the South Beach flu again (headaches, nausea, etc.?). Or, because I've already lowered my sugar intake, I will not feel such physical discomfort again. It only lasted the first 3 days of Phase 1 and then just dissappeared, and then I felt great!!! :agree:
Also, can we post our ticker scales in this forum? I enjoyed doing that on the other forum and miss it!!!
Just curious.................and thanks so much in advance for any guidance on this! ;)

Hi gr8fulgirl, and http://www.anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/icon_welcome.gif
I've gone back to P1 for a few days here and there since starting last year and never had any symptoms of "SB Flu". I believe that only tends to happen at the begining, when you are eliminating so much junk all at once. However, be aware that "indulging" can lead to cravings for a time afterwards.
Re: weight tickers; lots of folks around here have them in their signature lines, so be creative!

Thank you, thank you. This is good to know. My intention is to be "perfect" but we all know how boring that is sometimes. I think I'll reach for excellence instead AND have fun, too!
For instance, tonight I am going to a family pizza party, but I am bringing my own portion of Chili to eat. No pizza here!!! They are also having ice cream cake - aaarrrggghhh! No interest, and I am bringing a sugar-free fudgsicle.
Any ideas for a really, really yummy chocolate dessert that I can have in Phase 2? I have tried all of the Ricotta Creme desserts in Phase 1 - they're ok , but I would luvvvvv something a little chocolatey!

Hi, 13 pounds is fabulous!!! I'm interested in hearing about some chocolate deserts also. I've only had the SF fudgesicles and SF pudding.

Hi there and welcome!
I re-did Phase I after a not so successful Christmas period! Glad I did that because I got right back on track and feel great. Never did have the flu thing though, guess I was lucky, I have read on some forum's that people did get that the first couple of days.
I have treated myself to the South Beach Diet Cookbook .... Dr. Agatston confesses in this book that he is a chocoholic ..... there are some great desserts at the end of the book, including some awesome looking chocolate ones! If you can't get the book, let me know and I'd be happy to list some of them on here.
