Has anyone had experience with acne and low carbohydrate diets? If you have acne, has it gotten worse, better or no effect?

Give up dairy for awhile and see if your acne improves.

It initially got worse...(detoxing)...then after about a month and a half it cleared up and went away!
If I eat too much dairy too many days in a row I can see pimples starting along my hair line...so I cut wayyyy back on dairy!
I still eat it though...but only very small amounts.

An extended period of weight loss (regardless of diet) will trigger a response in certain people's bodies, especially those with ethnical backgrounds of countries that have survived famine. This trait causes the body to enter into something like a "conservation" mode and temporarily ceases control of functions like hair growth and skin normalcy.
I myself have seen the minor skin problems that came with this clear up after a period of not losing weight, and then come back when I'm dieting again. As well it can be assumed that hair growth will return, given that you're not at an age where you'd have hair problems naturally.
