I take two grams of taurine daily....along with a number of herbs and the diet adjustment....and I am not retaining fluids like I was before I began.
I can't say that it was specifically the taurine that helped me...it was probably more the DIET than anything else...but I do believe that a number of people either get or produce significantly less taurine than the body's needs...and lack of taurine can lead to edema. That's why I take it...I want to be sure.....

Try dandelion extract..there is an awesome product called Taraxatone that is great for water retention..it has a nice dose of dandelion extract. Dandelion is not since it seems not to deplete minerals which can lead to serious problems
Also there is a product called KB I think it is made by Naturade which I have seen give great results..taurine is not specific to water retention.

I agree...Dandelion leaf is good....but finding a dandelion supplement that uses the LEAF and not just the ROOT... is difficult...
I use the freeze-dried dandelion leaf from Eclectic Institute (an Oregon based company)....
