Hi, I'm a new member, but I just wanted to make a post about this product I absolutely love. I know what you're thinking - cottage cheese? Gross! - but this stuff is so tasty and even more protein packed and lower carb than the regular stuff. It comes in a pink and white container and it's made by Friendship. It's the only whipped cottage cheese I've seen out there, and I've only been able to find it at Bread and Circus. No lumps - it's delicious! I eat it with tuna, with eggs, or plain. I love it! It's a little high on the sodium, but I drink a ton of water so I think I'm alright. Thought I'd pass this along to you fellow low carbers...

Happy eating,
Lisa :)

p.s. I think in a 1/2 cup serving, there is 90 calories, 2 or 3 g. carbs, 16 g protein and 360 mg. sodium. Don't quote me on this, I have to double-check this!

ok, here is the nutritional info. Guess I didn't realize all the carbs were sugar :( But the stuff really is too good for me to let go of! Plus, I hardly eat sugar anywhere else in my diet, so I guess it's ok for me...

Welcome, sugarsweet!

Thanks for posting the detailed information on this product. I think you will find that all cottage cheese is fairly high in carbs, that's the natural lactose in most cases, it's contained in the skim milk. Quite often thickeners are added and that makes the carb count on THIS product actually quite low in comparison.

PS: don't forget to post in the Introductions forum!
