Hello friends-

Today is the 1/2 way mark for phase 1. I have completely lost my appetite. :help: I am really trying to force down a minimal amount of food at this point for nourishment.

I am a fellow that loves food and loves to eat. I have cooked Indian food for myself that I have always loved.....long before SBD.

Thanks for the help!

Jason

I have also lost my appetite. Not completely but enough. Last night I forced myself to eat because I know a calorie deficit can force my body to hold onto calories.

Just eat small, healthy meals through out the day. Graze if you have to. That way you wont feel full but will still be taking in calories

Hi Jason!

Yes, it does happen to many....but it is important that you force yourself to eat, even little mini meals if thats all you can handle. But not to worry...it does not last as when you start phase II next week and add in some good carbs...your appetite will return.

This is the beauty of doing this plan is that it puts our bodies into a state so that we can see which foods do trigger our appetite when we are in phase II.

I figured out early on that wheat triggers my appetite BIG TIME!! so I now avoid it and it has made my maintaining fairly easy. Knowledge is power!! :agree:

Me too. I had breakfast and come lunchtime I wasn't hungry. I ended up having a bit of reduced fat salami and mozzarella cheese and a sugar free jello. I even passed up all the yummy treats at work. Popcorn, doughnuts, cookies, etc. I didn't eat my snacks either so I'll have to wait and see if that has an impact on my weight loss. I have dinner in the oven right now.

Careful with processed meats like salami, even if it is low fat...it is loaded with salt and can get in the way of you seeing weight loss.

It sure does. When I added oatmeal back in, I found myself HUNGRY very quickly (even paired with a protein). This is where adding one new food at a time over the course of a few days or a week comes in. If I had added that oatmeal AND another item at the same time, I never would have known which was the culprit.

before I read that the SB bars were not that good a choice, I ate one for a snack and then I started feeling hungry. Now I know why. I have all these SB products in my pantry and I can't even eat them.
