Hi, I just have a quick question, I have been a "lurker" and decided to join recently, in some reading I hear of people using davinci syrups? What are they are where do you get them? What would you use them for? And---are they induction friendly? Sorry for all the ?'s but I was curious...

Thanks so much, glad to be here.

What Leslie said! Plus flavoring whipped cream for a nice sweet treat! You can find them at WalMart (the smaller bottles), Sams, Marshalls, TJ Maxx. I would say that those bottles are a staple in the LC kitchen! :)

P.S. Welcome to the forums - this place has been invaluable to me!

I buy them from Netrition.com. The shipping is dirt cheap and they have every flavor.
Jonahsafta's right, those flavors are incredible.

On a hot day mix up an Italian Soda

Soda water
sugarfree syrup in flavour of your choice
add a splash of heavy cream and shake with ice

I especially like this made with the sugar free Chai syrup :yum:

I look for these everytime I go to sams and have NEVER seen them. :help: Where are they located? I swear I've looked down every isle. I did find the caramel & vanilla (small) bottles at walmart and bought those. I use them occasionally but I don't really have a good use for the caramel one. I use vanilla as I would vanilla extract but its cheaper & better using davincis. ;)
I agree that using the vanilla in whip cream makes it taste just like regular whip cream. (to me)

I wish they sold some of the other flavors in stores in smaller bottles because I don't have the funds nor the heart to buy something in big bottles (online) I might not like.

I want the toasted marshmallow and white chocolate.

I'm with everyone else. I love the stuff and order it from Netrition also. I buy the english toffee by the case to use in my coffee...I wouldn't drink it any other way. I've used most all of the flavors.....I've even added banana flavor to my strawberry lc yogurt....YUM!

I realize you can't have these while on Induction (because of the nuts), but I'll be making some Banana-Walnut Flax muffins later today. :yum: The recipe I use calls for Vanilla sf DaVinci's. I actually use DaVinci's syrups in a lot of the things I bake, but unless the recipe you use already calls for it, you have to adjust the amount of liquid you use.

Oh my gosh, I just saw your question about Sams!! They are near where the big cans of coffee are, but now,in my Sams, they are called "Dolce" - they look exactly the same as DaVinci, packaged the same. Look for the blue labeled ones - those are the SF kind. They have vanilla, hazelnut, raspberry, Kahlua, cinnamon, plain syrup, and Irish Creme, I believe.
