I just wanted to know from each group are the people really happy with their WOE or more so b/c of the results. I have come across some people who wish they could eat certain things but know it will bring back the pounds so while they are elated about their new figure they aren't necessarily about the food. So I thought I would start thread in each of the programs on here and see what everyone has to say.

I know I don't have to ask for everyone to respect each other's posts :)

I think that we all need to make sure that the plan we create for ourselves is one that we will be happy with over the long haul....cuz we all know that if our food plan does not keep us happy and satisified...that we will not stay with it.

I've been following the SBD since April 2004. I've been in maintenance since 12/2005. If I were not happy with my food plan, I would not have made it this far....but I have made modifications to suit me, my lifetsyle and my tastes.

The way I eat now does not in any resmeble the way I ate before I lost 118 lbs!! I have no desire to eat the way I used to eat BUT...once in a while I will allow myself to have a treat of an old favorite food....so far so good!!

Are you happy with your food plan?

I have been with SB since the end of August and have lost 21 pounds and I intend to go all the way. Why? Because I am happy with what I am eating and its
not like before when all the wrong food was a big thing. SB fits into my
way off life wo any problems,if it didn't I would not have lasted. I had
to learn to make changes and I know for a fact I will not return to the way I use eat .I'm still in the learning process and at this point my shape still has a
long way to go. Yes,of course I'll like what I think I will look like, but more
important to me is I am becoming heathy and everything else will be a
plus

Being satisfied with one's food choices and learning how to tweak things to suit one's own needs and life style is very important. That I am able to accomplish both within the guidelines of SB makes me one happy camper. I enjoy the variety of foods that I eat and as a result I am able to stick to plan and not feel deprived. Losing 80lbs so far is a real motivator too!

Yes, I'm basically happy w/ this WOE. There are some days when I miss some food (bread and white potatoes)- but I know I can't eat those things regularly. Instead, I focus on what I can eat and mostly the SBD fits in w/ my own food likes and dislikes.

I also do like the results I have achieved so far and want to succeed more. Knowing that it is a WOE also helpe me be patient when my weight loss slows down for various reasons.

For example, before the holidays I was being very rigorous about recording all my food on Fitday and doing strict portion control. Now it's the holidays and I've been "indulging" - but indulging in good carb treats. So, I'm being "naughty" by eating more cashews and almonds and cheese than I was in October and November. So, my weightLOSS has come to a halt for this period of time - but I haven't gained over the X-mas New Year's period the way I usually do. To me that is OK and I feel successful & happy.

I'm planning like many people to get more strict again when the holidays are over. But I'm glad that I've found a way to have seasonal celebratory eating that doesn't involve lots of sugar and chips.

The loss and the new body shape are huge pluses for me. I do love buying smaller clothes.

I also love the food but I don't like the expense. It's a whole lot more expensive than say Ramen and veggies *but* it's also healthier for me *not* to eat the carbs.

Carbs are a habit for me. I fall back into it if I'm not vigilant. And that's the hardest part of the WOE -- keeping on top of things-- *really* changing those old habits forever. That's the key. And that's my struggle. That's the part I don't like.
