Hello fellow CAD/CALPers! I just started this woe today . . . but I had been on the Zone for a few years. Since I got married last May, I have not paid attn to my eating, and I was sad to see I had gained 7 lbs

Its hard to stay low-carb all day when you have a husband who cooks, and is Italian! So I figured this woe with the RM might work better for me. I really don't eat sweets, so its really just to be able to eat rice and pasta within reason when I eat with my husband.

I tried CAD a few years ago, but was lax about the RM. This time I don't think it will be that way. I was out of control when I started CAD last time. . . I have really stabilized my eating patterns now, so I feel strong and I can do this!!

Just wanted to say hello, and I look forward to getting to know everyone! :D

Hope you like it here! It's a really great site...

I do CAD because it lets me eat with my skinny husband too! It works really well for us since we don't eat breakfast/lunch together that often (and then I just eat omlets or salads).

Welcome! I am new here too and also have a SKINNY hubby. Hopefully, we will be successful in this together. I look forward to hearing about your triumphs! Sherry

By the way, when in May is your anniversary? Mine is the 26th.

Hi animaldoc and Sherry! Thanks for the welcome!

Unfortunately, my husband is NOT skinny!! I guess I would say he is "thick", not fat. But he always stays the same weight, whether he eats a chicken parmesan wedge (like last night) or if he eats soup. It drives me nuts, especially because he has no guilt associated with food.

How long have you both been doing CAD/CALP? This is day 2 for me.

Okay, I'm jealous...a husband that cooks?!!!

I have children who are as skinny as my husband...I eat my meat and my salads while they're eating their pizza and pasta and cookies. And sometimes, they even have what I'm having!

You're going to have to find recipes that will benefit the both of you...perhaps a primavera with lots of good veggies and cream sauce!
