You've already seen clips for the Anti-Super Size me movie no doubt, it looks great, but there's more coming.

These are too darn funny. I originally got the links to them from Mike Eades' blog. He is in it :D

I checked out the demo for that other film coming out The Pefect Human Diet. It looks interesting. The demo said very little, but it looks like it will have a paleo focus. They are going to be interviewing Cordain, and visiting a bunch of old early human sites, and discussing Egypt. So I already have a good idea what he will discuss.
Am I the only one who is bothered by that Anti SuperSize me movie? The interview with Eades and Enig are excellent, as well as the McGovern one. But what I don't understand is why he is attacking the movie and defending Fast Food. Do they need defending that much? And the way he went about it seemed a little too facetious. We know there are do-gooders agencies who do more harm than good. The road to hell is paved with good intentions and all that. We know that no one HAS to eat fast food (although I might question what kind of options, poor people have). And is it that important that Spurlock fudged his calorie count?
I dunno. Those three clips seemed silly to me and distracted from the important message.

We were discussing that very thought in this thread: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=356226
I think the film maker addresses that pretty squarely in one of the interviews that Dr. Eades links to: http://www.proteinpower.com/drmike/2006/08/16/the-anti-supersize-me-movie-from-the-horses-mouth/
everal posters asked what direction this film will take. Like “Super Size Me,” my film will be a humorous documentary. Spurlock’s film was definitely amusing and well-constructed. Unfortunately, I believe he gave the audience a lot of misleading information along with the laughs. I plan to give my audience good information along with the laughs. I believe some of the laughs will be Super-Sized.
This film will NOT portray McDonald’s food as health food. It isn’t. (I also ate at other fast-food restaurants during my month-long diet, but mostly McDonald’s.) But because of changes in the American lifestyle, people are going to eat at fast-food restaurants, like it or not. So part of my goal in this movie is to show how a person can eat fast food without getting fat and suffering other health consequences.
I know some of you reading this will be disappointed that I’m not out to beat up on McDonald’s, but in my view, their popularity is a result of our food choices, not the cause of them. Like Dr. Eades (and we didn’t discuss this previously), I don’t believe individual freedom and corporate responsibility are in opposition. McDonald’s doesn’t have any more of a “corporate responsibility” to sell me health food than Ben & Jerry’s does. If McDonald’s wants to spend their own money on ads that encourage me to eat starch and sugar, that doesn’t bother me — I can say no (and usually do). But when groups like CSPI want to use the tax code to force me to pay more for cheeseburgers so they can use the money to tell me to eat more whole grains, that definitely bothers me.
Somewhere he makes a point that a fast food restaurant (usually) is like a grocery store. Most of the stuff is garbage you shouldn't eat but you can make better choices and come out with something that isn't too horrible.

I think humor helps rather than detracts from a message.
